The March for Science will take place in Washington, DC, on April 22. Local marches will take place around the globe, including in Boston and Providence.
According to the organizers, the March for Science "champions robustly funded and publicly communicated science as a pillar of human freedom and prosperity. We unite as a diverse, nonpartisan group to call for science that upholds the common good and for political leaders and policy makers to enact evidence based policies in the public interest."
The March for Science has been endorsed by the Society for Neuroscience, the American Association of Geographers, the Society for Freshwater Science, the AAAS, the American Association of University Professors, and the American Anthropological Association.
