Please enter the side door on Angell Street. When you enter, you’ll be in a small lobby, and the door to Blue State Coffee will be on your right-hand side.

If you do not have a Brown ID, a researcher will accompany you from here. The researchers will provide you with a phone number prior to your study session. Once you arrive, please call this number to let them know you’ve arrived. A researcher will then come and meet you in the lobby to escort you to the testing room.

If you do have a Brown ID, please proceed straight through the doorway in front of you. Follow the hallway to the elevators. You’ll need to swipe your Brown ID inside the elevator to access the 4th floor. 

If you are entering the building outside of normal business hours (before 8:30 a.m. or after 5 p.m. on weekdays, and on weekends), you may not be able to access the building and/or elevator even if you have a Brown ID. In this case, simply call the phone number provided by the researchers, and someone will come down to escort you to the testing rooms.  

Once you reach the 4th floor, exit the elevator and turn right, then take the first left-hand turn into a hallway where you will see several testing room doors. TMS study sessions take place in room 424 (end of the hallway on the left), and behavioral testing sessions take place in rooms 426 A-E (on the right). Look for arrows on the wall directing you to these rooms.
